you will use all your gas in the tank. i did a test with the 2inch lift, i took my half gallon emergy gas bottle with me and ran my bike to empty. i ran out of gas and there wasnt a drop left in the tank. i have not done this test yet with the 3 inch version. jackyl
the lift looks ok on a street bob because that bike was made to look old fashion it takes away from the looks say on the wideglide because it actually breaks up the fluid long look of said bike, but of course its all in the eyes of the beholder, i have heard jacky does do good work, i think he does alot on ebay, and gives this forum 10% or so off
Does anyone have any before and after tank lift pics????
These are from when I mocked it up before installing the lift, but they are the exact height of a 2 incher. I just wanted to make sure my crossover and cables would reach before I committed to it.
My guage never was worth watching i just go by how many miles i have gone, the lift does shorten how much gas can be used but not enough to worry about, the new look is to good to pass up, cheapest mod you can make.
My gas gauge goes to full indication when I fill up but my fuel light comes on alot sooner. However, I did not have much faith in it before the lift and did not pay attention to it. I just reset the tripometer and start looking for gas between 160 and 180 miles. Bike with Power Commanders and V&H Fuel Paks may burn more fuel?
