Didn't really realize that it would be so easy to remove that damn canister, I'm on it at day break tomorrow.
Funny thing is I got some $$ off of the price of the bike because it was a CA model that my VA dealership wound up with and was having trouble selling.

Hey WS6 - those were the instructions I used quite some time back to take mine off. I did get the cap plug from HD for like 50 cents and used the canister hoses/fittings for the 49 state tank vent/overflow tube... Worked like a charm and now I have a POS conversation piece in a drawer...
The canister, reflectors, decals and VIN stickers were one of the first things that I removed back in March of 06, a couple of days after I bought my bike. I have been posting the canister removal over and over and over again since.
