Anyone have problems getting down the kickstand on a Wide Glide?

Trish,
I initially had the same issue, but now my foot is just "trained." I have seen them on other scoots, but they are not an eyesore. Try it out, if ya hate it, take it off....
Hmmm, I'll half to look into that. Darn hd engineers always having marketing on their minds. " we can design this, and it works but for a few more bucks you can add this to it"
Very well said, and by the way, this bike is badd ***!!
I just bought a 2010 wide glide. I can find the jiffy stand no problem. My issue is how far I have to lean the bike over to get the stand in the correct position on the ground. I'm not tall enough, strong enough, coordinated enough, experienced enough or something! I'm terrified of dropping my bike while trying to get the jiffy stand down!

It feels a bit akward at times but you will get used to the motion. Just keep your front wheel straight.
i recently purchased a 2008 flhrc . it sets a lot higher than my old fxe superglide . first off i lowerd the seat 2" i bought a kickstand extensiion but . i cannot get the hole drilled threw it . the kickstand is harder than my punch .. it no longer has a point and my titanium coated drill bit didn't even scratch the chrome . HOW THE HELL DO YOU DRILL A HOLE IN IT ? HA HA HA any sugestions?
Hooking your toe under the primary is the easy way to do it . takes some getting used to but the dyna kickstands seem to be designed to be put down with your toe not your heel.
When I owned my wide glide I bought the jiffy attatchment to extend that damn kickstand...never had a problem after that. I might have it in my garage....I pretty muched stripped off everything when I sold it.
Just something to get the hang of. I never had that issue with the old shovels and sportsters, at all. With this bike, it took a little while to get the feel of where to grab it with my heel. Now it's natural, and I no longer have to think about it.
