Trish,
I initially had the same issue, but now my foot is just "trained." I have seen them on other scoots, but they are not an eyesore. Try it out, if ya hate it, take it off....

I just bought a 2010 wide glide. I can find the jiffy stand no problem. My issue is how far I have to lean the bike over to get the stand in the correct position on the ground. I'm not tall enough, strong enough, coordinated enough, experienced enough or something! I'm terrified of dropping my bike while trying to get the jiffy stand down!

It feels a bit akward at times but you will get used to the motion. Just keep your front wheel straight.

Hooking your toe under the primary is the easy way to do it . takes some getting used to but the dyna kickstands seem to be designed to be put down with your toe not your heel.

When I owned my wide glide I bought the jiffy attatchment to extend that damn kickstand...never had a problem after that. I might have it in my garage....I pretty muched stripped off everything when I sold it.

Just something to get the hang of. I never had that issue with the old shovels and sportsters, at all. With this bike, it took a little while to get the feel of where to grab it with my heel. Now it's natural, and I no longer have to think about it.
