A local dealer had demo rides on saturday so I took out a 2008 Street Glide. I really like the looks, but after riding it, my decision to get the Fatbob was reinforced. It made my hip sockets sore. I would definatly have to take off the floor boards and put some forward pegs on it. I'm only 5'-8" but I felt really cramped on it. Other than that it handled really nice, not top heavy like i thought it would be. I always had that little voice in the back of my head saying i should have spent a few grand more and got it, but the short ride put that voice to rest.

 

That's cool you got to ride one... best part is your not goin' "damn now I wish I had one of those"!!!

 

I've never been on a street glide but I thought, after looking at them, that would be my next bike. You were crowded on it huh? Damn nice bikes though

 

Good to know. I'm headed up to the MoCo's Tomahawk, WI plant this weekend for the plant tour and demos. The Street Glide is one of the bikes I hope to demo, along with the Road King Classic. I'm thinking ahead a few years for my next bike...

 

Ive been thinking my next bike (in a few years) would be a Street Glide as well but planned on rent one first.

 

i like the look of em too but ive been tolld by people they felt cramped too
