Position change on stock mini-apes
Greets brethren,
Looking to swing my stock mini apes more vertical on my 07 SB to make them look more like real apes...just smaller.
Hand controls, cables, all appear to be no biggie, no adjustments really needed.
Just curious about the front master cylinder. It sits cocked normally, but from top to bottom, essentially level. Will I need to adjust the position of it after rotating the bars more vertical?
Any other considerations besides putting a blanket on the tank in case the bars drop?
Thanks

a note on proper retightening of the clamps.... tighten the rear bolts till the top clamp touches the bottom. Then torque the front bolts to 12-15 ft-lbs... finally, torque rear bolts...
you may just want to loosen the front bolts first...chances are you can move the bars without loosening the rears... the bar won't fall to the tank this way.
adjust your controls to the position that is right for you...2 star wrenches and 5 min. is all it takes to be sure your levers are in a location that you desire.
also you will need to readjust the angle of the signals which is also easy as can be!
