LOL I can relate although i did buy a new sportster in 81 but i coulda bought a brand new 83 XR 1000 with cams headwork and supertrapps from the dealer for $3600 i`m still kickin myself in the ***

The Sturgis is a great looking bike. I would be afraid to ride something rare like that. I would have panic issues every time I walked away from it in a parking lot.
