Harley Glug Glug.....
Pulled out Pop's 05 (carb) WG today to blow out the cobwebs then jumped on the 06 (FI) SB afterwards. Forgot how much of a difference there was at between the two bikes at idle. Has anyone figured out how to make these FI bikes sound more like to carbed bikes at idle. I'm talking about the prolific Harley glug, glug, glug, when at idle. Is there any way to get this out of a FI bike?? Do any of the tuners do it??? Any ideas?

I've asked about that as well ... a wrench at an indy shop I use sometimes said that if you have a SERT you might be able to lower the idle speed (it occurs to me that a dealer could install a map/reprogram for a lower idle speed, but I don't think they'd do it).
The reason he recommended against it is that at idle speed, the oil pressure would drop below recommended levels and risk not getting enough oil to the top end and pistons.
Frankly, that seems a little suspect to me as I've heard that the old Panheads and Knuckles operated at very low oil pressure relative to modern bikes (Evo/TC) ....
I don't know for certain, but that's what I've been told on the subject of FI idle.
