well for me that was cheap... go the side plates for free. so it cost me 2 dollars in u bolts and heat shrink... you will at least need the docking hardware to mount bags, either way you are looking at around (and over) 50 bucks... trust me i am as cheap and poor as anyone and have access to EVERY tool you can imagine... i tried to play with some ideas and then when i found this i went with it... when i tour i load up use some throw overs, with 3m tape to protect the paint... let us know what you figure out!

I love this idea! I have the Easy Brackets now...hate how far they stick out and rattle. I've tried all kinds of adjustments but can't get rid of the rattle.
JRK, Do you have any rattle issues?

not one! if you change out your brackets i have a buddy that needs a set of easy brackets... if yoiu sell yours let me know... he just needs them for when he heads to southern IL a few times a year... he does not care about rattles

This is awesome! I have an extra set of detachables for my bike... and a docking kit from a sloptail that I can rob parts from. Just need to get longer bolts so I can have my detachable sissy bar and detachable bags at the same time. Hillbilly Deluxe!!!
