I want to put a 2up seat from an 05 low rider on my 08 street bob. It should fit okay shouldn't it?

I don't think it will fit. '06 and up have different frames.

I'm pretty sure nkauf is right...generally '06-'09 bikes aren't compatible with parts off bikes '05 and earlier...but I could be wrong in this instance.

The 06 and later Dynas can interchange seats with each other. When I first got my 06 FXDI, I purchased an 05 Wide Glide seat to use on it (not knowing any better). It fit OK, but not as snug at the front as it should. Some guys have used the 04-05 seats and made a rear mounting tab which was 1/2" longer to make them work. The 06 and later seats should be plentiful enough now to find a properly fitting one pretty cheap.
