Question Street Bob Owners

Did the 08 Street bob come with the knuckle risers and internally wired mini apes like the 09? If so have any of you put taller risers on and did you have to change any of the cables, am thinking of adding a 2" or 4" riser to my 09' but not sure how it would look and if the cables will reach.

The 09 has internal handlebar wiring? Well that makes 2 things I like about it.

Nope the 08 has integral risers and external wiring. I'm in the process of switching over to an 06-07 front end.

make sure you do not have integral risers like the 08.
if you do then your gonna want to change out to taller bars...
so you know the stock bar is a 10" mini ape, but, it actually has an end rise of 8.5".
the end rise is the height of the handlebar at the end of the grip area.

Not dumb at all.
They are built into the triple tree, so you can't replace them without changing the entire top clamp. I'm not sure if they used the same top clamp on the 09 that they used on the 08. I would hope not. If they did and you want to change them you can find 06-07 triple clamps on ebay and occasionally on here for around a $100-150.

Just went and looked at the bike and they did the riser is built into the tripple clamp.
That sucks the bars are internally wired so changing them will be one big head ache and the risers are not replaceable, way to go Harley.

It actually has internal wiring? Doesn't look like that on their page.

All the wires including the turn signal wires run inside the bar and come out the bottom of the bars in-between the risers in a black nylon covers. Really clean looking one of the perks of the bike so I thought but now it makes the bar-changing more difficult, not impossible but definitely a deterrent for me for now any way.
