Is it possible to get over 100hp without a big bore kit?

Sure it is. With head work and the right cams it can be done.

Procharger, just kidding. I think that I would rather have over a 100 torque than HP, but thats just me

The newer Dyna's are set up with all the torque you need,as far as the big bore kit is concerned -if your looking for more nut that set's you apart for whatever reasons try the SE 103 kit without the cams then add Andrew twin Cams with the SE clutch kit.Don't know about anyone else but it works for me.

no matter what you will need some additional cylinder presure, and head work, with cams. but as stated earlier, its the torque that matters!

One of my riding buddies has a 102hp 88inch but if you ride it and look at the dyno sheets you find the torque spread is narrow and high compared to the same hp with more cubes, generally speaking. If you're cool with just a "peak" number, go for it. Myself, I really enjoy the 100ft lbs I have starting at 2200 rpm with my 103...check some dyno charts out from 2000 to 5000 rpm and you'll see what I'm talking about...a lot of the high hp builds don't even start the chart until 2800 rpm or higher.

your right SHARKEY. on low rpm motor, 5000 to 6000 red line engine
it is better to have lower torque around 2500...
