I'm wanting to do the Mini-ape conversion for my bike (I'm 6'3"), but I can't decide which route to go with the cables. I could go with the stock FXDB cable from Zanotti for $125, but I'd prefer some braided cable. Money's tight, so I want to keep the cost down, but I don't want to put junk on my bike either. I was thinking about Motion Pro, but I did a search and they seemed to get mixed reviews.

So what's the best deal for braided cables and brake lines?

Also, would the FXDB cable work on 12" - 13" bars? I'm going to start with the 10.5" Mini's, but I may want to go a little higher. I don't see my self going higher than 13".

Has anyone been able to fit the 10.5" Mini apes with the stock FXDC cables?

Check out Jireh Cycles. They have great deals on Motion Pro and Barnett Cables. Black, OEM, or Stainless. For a set of 10.25" (stock street bob bars) your bike should use:
Clutch-67.69" (37.19" top, 31.5" bottom)
Throttle+Idle-32.5"
These are housing lengths as per HD's website for 2006-2008 Street Bob. They are +2 on the throttle/idle and +4 on the clutch compared to your bike.

Brake line is about 52", but you can measure yours and go +2 or +4".

You can get throttle and idle Motion Pro from Jireh for 12-13 bucks each, Clutch for 17-18, and Brake line Russell for $40ish if I remember right.

Or you can find a guy selling a set of Street Bob bars and cables as a set. Gotta be some out there. Good luck
