I came from a Triumph Daytona 675. A bike built for nothing other then racing. The FXDL feels like a Cadillac to me

I ride an 05 LowRider with the stock suspension, my only concern is bumping on speed bumps when the springs/forks are compressing. As long as the bike is set up to you you'll have a fine ride.

I'm 58 yrs old and a gal riding a 2007 low rider. I had to have it lowered 1 1/2" so I could reach the ground flat footed. Have a set of Progressive 430's which are TOOLESS hand adjustable gas shocks. I can make the ride stiffer or softer with just a quick twist. Other shocks require tools and are a pain to adjust. Anyway, the only problem I have is my rear end on their stock seat on rides over a few hours. I'm looking into getting either a Harley Sundowner Seat ( will also help your back and help cushion your ride) or and AirHawk seat pad. I've had back surgery, fusion of the L4 AND L5, and have no back issues or stiffness. Only the sore hinney.

2000 Sportster - Progessive IAS 440 rear shocks, Progressive front springs and damper rod, Mustang solo wide saddle, Kuryakyn ISO grips and pegs, forward controls, highway pegs. At 61 I can still do 500-600 mile days on this bike.

Isolate yourself from the bike vibration - move your butt around every few minutes - move your feet and legs every few minutes. The more I can change riding positions the longer I enjoy riding. (On the RG I do 500-800 mile days.)

Got sundowner for wife ,but still liked the look of stock for my riding. As you stated @ couple hundred miles butt little tender, went to local custom trim shop, put gel pad in stock seat, wow!what a difference and way cheaper then another new seat.Only raised me about 1/4 inch.
