Hey whats up guys, I have been wanting to change the rea tailight on my Fat Bob just not sure what to do. I want to do a dreamweaver Tailight and plate holder on the axle behind the primary the curved ones but I am wonder what I can do to the tailight on the fender to get rid of the stock license plate holder that awful looking thing. Do you guys know if there is a fluch mount light that I can do back there that gets rid of any type of license plate all I want is a rear talight back there and nothing else. Thanks

Take a look at the MOCO's new Tri-Bar LED tail light (P/N 68546-09). You might be able to mod it a bit to get rid of the plate holder.

 

Yeah I saw that one looks good, I just dont like that it still has the plate holder there you know... Like Lucky said I guess I will have to dremel the plate holder section.. Thanks

 

I took off the stock tail light on my Fat Bob and installed a Kuryakyn Low Profile LED Tail Light - Red Lens (product no. 4970). Mounts flush and looks great. Still have not figured out what to do with the license plate. I will occasionally use saddle bags, so a side mount license plate is not an option. At a minimum, I will use a dremel to cut down the license plate bracket to the same size as the actual plate. Right now there is 1/2 inch overhang on the sides and bottom.

 

Here is what I did to my FXDF. I really didn't like the stock plate configuration.

 

Cool looks good. I think I am gonna go with the Tri bar led one and dremel the plate bracket off and just run a side mount for the plate, should look good..

 

The license plate bracket from the new LED light from HD is a seperate piece. You can see in one of the pics of my post below what it would look like.
