Here is a pic from the back of my wifes sporty with easy brackets just so you know how far they stick out.

My wife has an Sportster 1200C -06 and was thinking to get easy brackets,but
the bags looks very far they stick out from the fender support ????
I have heard that the easy brackets are 1 inch wide but it looks to be much more
on the picture ?

i have easy brackets and QR sideplates also. they do stick out a bit, but it was just enough for my larger bags to clear the axle bolts. i put a plexiglass ($10) backing in some used throwovers i got from ebay ($50) plus the easy brackets ($150). so i have a nice set of detachable saddlebags on my bike for around 200 bucks.
