Street Bob Air Shocks Question?
Guys,
I know in an earlier thread it was stated that the Showa air shocks off an electraglide would bolt right on to a street bob but is this the same for other touring bikes as well? I found some on fleabay for "road king and glide models" are these the same??? They show a part number of:
Showa
54565 97C
Thanks

Air shocks cont'
Ok, so there are a ton of these things on fleabay, both chrome and black, it looks like the black ones are 13 inches and the chrome ones are called "lowering shocks" and are 12 inches, which I think is what the Street bob is stock. I definitely don't want to go up and would prefer to lower..... Any suggestions? I'm thinking the chrome one, even though they are a little more expensive.

5-15 lbs for a 200-lb to 250-lb rider.
20-25 lbs for a rider with passenger.
FL air preload rear suspension range is 0-35 lbs of pressure.

CK, the 12" EPC air shocks should lower your bike. They did mine anyway. They sit stock on the jiffy stand, but then drop about 1" when upright. I missed the part about moving the wires, and rubbed thru on the 1st ride with wifey on the back. I don't know if it would bottom out in the fender or not, but I bet it's close. I'm personally thinking about going with the longer 13" shocks, just for the extra travel. If the Ultra shocks sag the same as the lowering ones do when upright, then it would be almost the same as the stockers, which is fine by me.

if your ride two up alot man i would rock the longer ones...plus you can get em in black which is pretty cool... I weigh 200 and the girl maybe 100... she rides her own so she is rarely on the back but when she does i still air up a bit and we do on occasion bottom out... in all honesty it is not that bad i love the air ride, she wants it on her bike... it is like riding a caddy! love that
