Never Had an issue with rain either.

 

I know this is a very old post, BUT, when you changed the cleaner cover and exposed that filter...did you need to do any other adjustments to the bike with the extra air flow? Just picked up an 07 street bob and looking to do the same thing, looks great!

You do understand that it is an aftermarket AC with a modified stock AC cover. If you take the stock cover off you will see its not round. At least on my 09 Fat Bob its that way.

I really like the look, I just have a round sheet metal disk painted black right now .Im going to look into doing this.

I got bigger problems right now ,like getting the bike to run ,LOL

They must have changed them sometime 08 maybe? I know your wouldnt want to expose the new ones ,they look like a turd.

I think it looks pretty good! Gives it a little more edge over stock.

 

I did mine with a good pair of snips and a 4" hand grinder with an abrasive polishing disk. Although I put a sock on it also.
