Is there a noticable increase in power with the stage 1 "kit"?

Thats why they call it hundreds of dollars, a great machine that noone wants to run stock, that begs to modified, and that costs hundreds of dollars over the stock price to do it, but isnt that why we love them so....????
even with just opened up breather and a PCIII I got great improvements. Im still just running open pipes w no baffles and it runs a lot better. I expect another marked improvemant when I stick on a Thunderheader.
ooh ya! i had slip ons, and stage 1 a while back... big diff over stock
MOST of the replies agree with you and I appreciate All the replies both pro and con.Since I already have the se slipons which I like a lot ,I only need to spend app.$300 to have the ac and download .I'm also currently running the XIED's which makes the motor run smoother and a little cooler.I'm not sure whether they will be compatible with the stage 1,but they are easy to remove.
I have the V&H slip-ons, Fuelpak and V&H VO2 air cleaner. It absolutely runs cooler and smoother. It may or may not have more power, but it feels like it does because it is smoother and seemingly less labored through the rpm's. I haven't had a dyno tune, but again, it definately feels alot better.
