Air Filter Cover
I have a TC-88 engine with the oval air filter cover. I like the looks of the old round Evo cover and I wonder if there is any reason I should not use one. Do any of you know? I tried one on and it appears to fit perfectly.

I'm running the round Nostalgia cover on my Bob. You need an extra rubber gasket to go on top of the SE philter, or even the K&N philter.
What I don't much care phor is the way the round cover touches the *ears* of the SE backing plate where the breathers attach to the cylinders.
It should work though, provided you get the gasket.

But then again, I would like my Bob to have the look of an older bike, while having the technology of a new one.

It's not a washer, it's a gasket. 'Bout 1/2" thick. phits over the top of the SE or K&N philter, between the cover and the philter. It will screw down with the same bolt that holds on the oval cover, but you may phind problems later. When you put the gasket on, you'll need a different bolt.
