Default Tach install: how to get orange wire into fuse box?

Well I have been arguing with my Bob for the past hour and she is winning. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get the orange wire with the terminal end into the fuse box?

Or is there a better solution?

This is for the 2" HD tach.

I spliced everything right into the speedo harness, works great.

I'm getting ready to instal a HD mini tach on my 2007 FXDCI. I believe all the connections I need are in the speedo plug/harness. Orange/white wire is +12 volts. Black wire is ground. #3 cavity in the speddometer connector is tach signal.
&nbsp\\;
Since Harley makes the speedo/tach combination unit, which is a direct plug-in for my bike, there has to be a tach signal at the speedometer plug.
&nbsp\\;
I'm waiting on my back-ordered 67206-04 bracket to put mine on.
&nbsp\\;
ioncat 14- since you've done this already, any additional info you can provide would help us here. Thanks.

I just put one ( a cobra billet mount )on my 08 FXDC and the Black/Grey is ground at the speedo ...I believe the Black is ground on 06 and earlier .The orange and white&nbsp\\;wire is &nbsp\\;power as you said.. ....&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;I also ran a wire under the tank to the blue and red that is in the plug at the ignition coil for pulse.

run it down your tank with some 3m adhesive (under the dash)... then duck that down under the seat pan into the fuse box

My bit of advice is that HD instructions are not always accurate! In this case (at least for my set of instructions), they have the Dyna/Softail and FLHR back to front when describing the fuse terminal.

The correct one (at least for my install) was the terminal that is not so square on the orange wire at a loss for words as I am devouring lunch and rushing to get back out on the bike...

but if you have the 6 inch orange wire with dual fuse terminals, you will know what I am talking about.
