RE: SE Race Tuner vs Power Comander vs Fuel Pack?
If you do a search you will find more information and more varying opinions on these than you will care to read. \\; It really depends on how much you can spend on what you want out of the bike now and in the future. \\; For simple stage 1 with no dyno, fuelpak. \\; For a dyno tunable setup or if you will eventually go beyond stage 1, look at PCIII or SERT.

The SERT allows you to program the ECM to enable you to tune for each mod you make.It works with the sensors and programs the bike itself without adding any extra parts. It is also a 1 SERT 1 bike setup as it marries itself to the ECM you initally hoook it to.
The Power commander and others add a box between the sensors and the ECM to in essence trick the ECM into thinking its doing something it aint,or adding varibles.
I have heard good things about the Powercommanders however I decided to go with the SERT personally. There are good points and bad for each Im sure.

The good and bad points depend on what you want. \\; You can't go wrong with the SERT but it's expensive and requires expensive dyno time to get it right. \\; But if you want a well tuned bike and are willing to spend the cash, then it's fine. \\; A fuelpak is plug, program, and go. \\; And it's cheaper. \\; But, you can't tune on it. \\; You got what you got. \\; Some look at that as a plus and some look at it as an extreme limitation. \\; PCIII is sort of a hybrid in a sense that it is cheaper than a SERT and can be used as plug and play if you buy it pre-programmed. \\; But it can also be dyno tuned, although, perhaps not to the same degree the SERT can be.

In any case, I predict this thread will grow and become just as opinionated and confusing as all of the others on this subject have been. \\; There is no right or wrong solution. \\; It depends on what you want or need and how you look at each device within that.

Well put.
Except for the perhaps not to the same degree as SERT.
No question, it cannot be tuned anywhere near the SERT.
