The barebacks work as advertised as long as you take the time and line them up perfectly. I made my bag supports, fitted the barebacks, then mounted the bag to the support. 10 seconds on and off.
Keep in mind that with the barebacks you can mount the bags too close to the bike. It will look great, but the axle will tear up the bottom of the bag every time you bottom out. Dont ask me how I know
Update on the barebacks. \\;One of the collars definately sticks, and is difficult to slide against the spring. I am considering shipping it back to them, but otherwise after carefull alignment, the bags are now easily removeable.
Hi,got this answer from Cyclevision/barebacks,maybe this intrest somebody:
 \\; Hi Sweedy,Yes, I read the thread.When Harley welds the bracket and attaches to the bag it's not perfect.You will have to align it sometimes....not always.Our kit is machined perfectly to fit.welding is not.We have sold over 10k kits since 1996.Some people have problems because of installation.Thank-you. \\;
Was there no turn signal relocation involved? I just wondered if the bags are smaller to accomodate stock signals...I'd rather not move the ones on my Street Bob...
