Windsheild vs. Windvest?

Windsheild vs. Windvest?
Of course I love my "bob" too. Now it is time for a short trip on the highway. I am needing a little protection from the wind for the trip. I like the look of the windvest on the bob versus the windshield. Has anyone had any experience with either or both on a glide or a bob. If so what is your opinion.
I would appreciate any advice you have.

RE: Windsheild vs. Windvest?
I put 56000 mi. on a 96 FXD with 10 inch apehangers. I used a 14 inch Windvest that basically sat between the handlebar uprights. Pushed the wind off my chest up to just above my forehead. Some updraft from under the shield. Did several 800 mile days with only moderate fatigue. Windvest is the only way to go if you want some wind break function and don't want to totally ruin the "barebones look."

RE: Windsheild vs. Windvest?
I had the windvest on my V-Rod, it was the only windshield für the Rod, that works very well. No updraft, no buffeting on the head, no heavy noises. But it's not legal in gemany. So i took for my new bob a HD detachable standard height windshield. It works great with an open helmet without any visor. But with a fullface-helmet or with my arai jet helmet with visor i have a lot of buffeting. I think with any other helmet except an visiorless jet helmet the windvest will be the better choice.
