Well, OK, not exactly wide open, but when I am really getting on it and it's hot (90-100), I get detonation. I have a stage one (carb) and did everything the carb stage one tech instructions here on the board say, except they didn't say to increase the main jet size. Thanks in advance.
Stock pipes with old SE slipons (Cycle Shack) and the SE A/C with the K&N filter. I haven't checked the current mai njet size, will have to pull the bowl and post back. I assume it's stock...but I probably shouldn't assume!
Dont forget with carb jets ambient temp and altitude have a lot too do with it. try to jet for happy medium but sometime dyno is the only way to dial it in \\;
Do you have an adjustable ignition, if so back off timing a little. Make sure you're running 91 or higher octane. Make sure you're at least 3k RPMs when punching it.Does it do it every time?
