Easy FDXL Eyebrow Light Upgrade
Hey ya'll,
I had the stock eyebrow headlight and transformed it to a billet lamp assembly. \\; Using the existing modified light assembly I got the attached results. \\; \\;
 \\;
What I did was remove the indicator light assembly, then the eyebrow/light assembly. \\; I then used a small band saw to cut off the brow along the molding lines on the back of it. \\; I then took a half round file to make the curves for the risers. \\; Did a little finish filing, polishing, and reinstalled the bracket backwards with the same hardware. \\; I then reinstalled the indicator light assm. (in reverse of course) \\;  \\;
I then installed the new billet light assembly I ordered from the HD catalog. \\; This required drilling a 3/8" hole in the lower triple tree. \\; I used a front motor mount bolt thru to the lamp mounting bracket. \\; I spliced the wires and hid the connections under the gauge cluster. \\; \\;
 \\;
Thats it, \\;good luck contact me for questions of more photos. \\; \\;
 \\;
Peace,
Garret
