I recently added passenger pegs and it was a B!#@H to get at it. I started using the top of my foot to hook it and its been easy peasy ever since.

I know this is an ancient post....but the kickstand extension was the first thing I did to my bike.
Luckily I found one for $15 locally on Craigslist.

When I first got my bike I didn't know they made an extention so I made an extention from a piece of flat stock.

One of the first things I did was buy a kickstand extension from HD....works great. There are actually 2 options from HD for the Dyna.

lol. yeah. this was a 4 year old post resurrected from the dead...... I bet any links are expired. (well the wiki link was still good)
(edit: I know HD still makes them, but @ $50 I would rather make my own like the poster above)

When I was test riding a few bikes, I came back and didn't see it - salesman pointed to the tab behind the primary and I'll be dammed if it wasn't right where he said - never had a problem since. Maybe putting the stand down should be part of the skills test, boggles the mind.

Yeah is is damn annoying. I learned on a Road King and a Fat Boy, both kickstands are in the front of the primary. The Street Bob is way the hell in the back, and yes it's a bitch when the passenger pegs are down.

i have had my '07 for two months now and have found that if I lean the bike a little to the right and push it with my heel is the best way. I will be getting the extension! stupid kickstand
