like everyone said, just takes a little repetition and knowing your bike.&nbsp\\; Also gotta ask, seems like you guys want to get off the bike within 2 seconds of stopping.... house on fire? didnt think there was a rule to get it down and off the bike in less than 4 seconds

here's what I do. 1st, come to a stop. (no brainer huh?) I just slide my left heel back and around the backside of the primary cover, kinda high off the ground,&nbsp\\; then just push my heel down towards the ground and I catch it every time.&nbsp\\; Takes some practice if you are new to this setup.

oh wait that applies to food after it hits the ground

I think that they don't wanna look like they are newbs when they pull up to a crowd...
leg flopping in the breeze as they miss then miss again

hook your foot around and rest your ankle against&nbsp\\;back of the primary, then push down, keeping against the primary, your foot will catch it.

Take a look at the rubber bumper on the frame, if it gets turned around a little, the kick stand retracts too far and it's hard to grab with your foot.&nbsp\\; You might need to turn the bumper or reposition it.

Thanks for pointing out that these things have a kickstand on them. I have been laying my 06 on the left side for 3 years now...... Always worked fine for the ole bicycle.

I Picked up P/N : 50000032 Jiffy stand extension for my 06 Dyna. The bolt provided is TOO SHORT. Thought I was seeing things, re-read the fitment, and it "should" fit.

Fits '93-later DynaŽ models (except FXDX/T, FXDS-CONV., '01-'04 FXDL, FXDWG2/3, FXR2/3/4, FXDSE/2 and FXDFSE/2).

Well I went back to my dealer, and they swapped out a longer bolt for me. It fits fine. Yes I know "use your heel". I was doing just fine with my normal work boots, and able to throw out my jiffy stand without issue. New Red Wings, and I'm heel digging my engine casing like it's my second day on my dyna.

Naturally I then find Harley-DavidsonŽ Jiffy Stand Extension- 50214-98A listed on e-bay starting at 9.99. Story of my life.

I am vertically challenged. It was a bitch to snag, so the extension was the answer.
Now that it has been lowered, not as hard to snag.
Still like the extension though.
