detachable windshield with ape hangers??

RE: detachable windshield with ape hangers??
I have a Memphis shades with 16" apes and it works great when needed. Had it up to over 100 and like Joe said, no problems at all! Worked awesome. When in town, it is off.
Just to let any of know, I took my shield off, forgot to tighten the screws back in and lost one. I called Memphis shades and was prepared to pay for a new set but the kind lady on the phone there just chuckled and said they would send out a set of the screws and washers at no cost! not even shipping! That to me is awesome, a company with this sort of customer service will get my business!

I have the HD quick detach with 16" Carlini's. \\; Have the bars pushed forward a bit (just past parallel with the forks) and have plenty of room to push them forward another 3 inches at least.
 \\;
On a side note, I went back and forth getting / not-getting the windshield. \\; Spent too much money on the bars to hide them behind a windshield. \\; The shield actually looks ok, doesnt hide the bars, and makes a HUGE difference in the ride comfort.

Almost any shield can be made into a quick detach with a Dremel.
 \\;
I did this on my Suzuki by cutting slots to slide the bolts through.
 \\;
Then, instead of removing the bolts completely, you just loosen them enought to slide the shield off.
