Thanks Greg have someone already that may be buying it, he's just checking fitment for his bike. Not sure about the newer Wide Glides, just going by Windvest's website. Suppose you could give them a call and double check if it's fit your bike. Only issue is space to clear risers as far as i can see or if your bars are thicker than 1" did 06 and later use wider spacing on the risers? I know it'll clear around standard 3.5" riser spacing with about 1/2 inch to spare on each side as that is what my St Bob has.

Loved it but it was only going to be for occasional use and the tach (which the shield didn't quite fit around) is permanent!

My bars are 1 1/4 inches, so it will not fit. I am looking for something to take the pressure off of me at Autobahn speeds. But I do not want a huge shield as I like it looking clean. I am thinking about going with either the combo speedo/tach or a handle bar mount like yours. If I go the second route I guess I am stuck with a HD shield. But then again those are real easy to take off.

 

Greg - Not sure how expensive it'd be, but I bet Windvest would sell you the clamps for your 1 1/4 bars. Might be worth looking into as the handlebar clamps attach to the cross brace with 2 allen bolts. Check out the install instructions on the Windvest web site to see how it works: www.windvest.com

Ought to be an easy replacement mod.

Just checked Windvest's website and they do offer replacement clamps for 1.25 and 1.5 diameter bars, but pricey at $105!
