&nbsp\\;
I use Mobile 1 v-twin 20-50 in the engine and
Royal purple 75-140 in the tranny (6 speed).&nbsp\\; Syn 3 in the
primary.
&nbsp\\;
The Royal Purple took the whine out of the tranny and I
started&nbsp\\;averaging around 50 mpg using all synthetics.
The bike is running cooler, getting better gas mileage and
I feel more comfortable with synthetics.

Redline 20/50
Redline Heavy Duty Shockproof
Redline MTL
&nbsp\\;
Now Redline has a new line of v-twin fluids, probably will migrate to those one I run out of the shockproof and MTL that I bought by the case.

..there's lots of brand loyalty with oils&nbsp\\;....[kinda like the beer we drink.....unless it's free].
&nbsp\\;
.....I researched a few of the syn. oils.....
.
...found the stuff that HD sells is made by Citgo in Venezuala.....but looks more alluring with the fancy packaging.....
..but if ya all want to keep yer ride "all HD" this isw for you....
&nbsp\\;
...Mobil one is a&nbsp\\;fairly inexpensive for a syn,... specially at Wally World.......can't tell ya how much they spend on marketing for this product and what is is really worth....
&nbsp\\;
.the off brands out there, I stay away fron......
&nbsp\\;
....I am familiar w/ Amsoil and their philosophy on what they produce.....I've always used it....good stuff
&nbsp\\;
.....I at times hear this arguement.." I never lost an engine cuz of the oil I use"...probanly never will.......but when the miles on your engine pile up......there are some oils better than ever at keeping wear down......which keeps an engine running strong with good compression and all..........
&nbsp\\;
..so....I use Amsoil..with the Amsoil filter as well.
&nbsp\\;
...don't mean to rustle any feathers on your choices....it's your bike......
&nbsp\\;
...but ,man, don't skimp on oil....those thousands of bucks in bolt-on stuff won't keep yer bike runnung at it's best,,,,
&nbsp\\;
Later.....Binny
