Default anyone know if i can powder coat my fuel and gas cap?

im wanting some black fuel guage and gas caps, but not sure if i can somehow powder coat them or buy black ones somewhere?

I think powder coating (400 F) will melt the plastic parts of the caps.

He's right, the cure temps will destroy the plastic inside.&nbsp\\; I had a customer bring me a set of caps that could be taken apart.&nbsp\\; I asked who made them but they were an older set and he couldn't remember.&nbsp\\; If you can find a set like that you wouldn't have a problem.

how do you pull the plastic out? just go to yankin? and what about the cover on the fuel guage, how do you get it off?

Waking up a very old thread here.

Mister Powder Pro. Why don't you give us a guide on this one? I know you do this kind of jobs, so you'd probably prefer if we sent you our parts so you could make some money. But for us living on the other side of the pond, the shipping-costs make this a no-go.

Soo... Detailed picture-guide please?
