Running Lean... what does that mean???

Changed your O2 sensors? \\; Unless they went to a wideband O2 sensor or used an O2 eliminator type set up I doubt they could "change" them. \\; Your stock ECM does not have a learn function so the A/F ratio is not going to change over time.

RE: Running Lean... what does that mean???
I just posted something similar over in the tech forum...
I had the stealer put the Harley Script slipon's on my 06 superglide when i bought it two weeks ago... just the slips, no air cleaner...they told me i would be fine too....
Well....the bike ran HOT.. i mean HOT... and it surged when you were cruisin down main street, and it vibrated, and it pinged (sounded like slapping hte front sylinder with a plastic mallet).
I know a little something about injection and i recognized the lean syptoms real quick, but, the bike didn't run all that bad and someone else might just have thought thats the way it was supposed to run.
Took the bike to the steeler.. afet some mucking about, they put it on the dyno...
it was running 15.8 to 16.9 at 35mph constant speed![>:]i'd like to see it around 14.4 or lower
I know your bike is two years newer, but i can't imagine that the stock ecu is going to adapt to short shots and a high flow filter without eventual damage.

You can instantly tell if you bike is running too lean with no special equipment by removing the spark plugs and looking how they are burning. A light tan is perfect, white is too lean, black is too rich.
Remember the purpose of the stock air intake and exhaust, its to keep things quiet, things like air sucking noises, popping, wooshing, etc. If you change your intake you are going to hear more noises without anything being wrong. I did my pipes and intake and didn't need to remap, it all depends on what you put on if it will need remapping. Check your plugs and let us know.
