Do everything you can to make her comfortable. I did it with my first bike. I installed a comfy seat with sissybar and my wife was happy. She rides for a couple years as a passenger and then she decided to take a course.
Today, we both have solo bikes ! No more passenger, no more ugly seat! So just be patient

I did not really like the idea of a windshield and sissy bar on my Fat Bob, but I like it now and would never go back. I need that sissy bar and T-Bag for storage on rides, to the store or to coffe in the morning. I'm in it for what I like, not what someone else thinks it should look like!

Well I had the same problem, so I just divorced her, now no extra seat needed. HA HA Jsut kidding. I went with the Mustang seat route, solo with the pass. pillion that has only one screw to put in and if you use what others have said to use in a thumb type screw and detachable sissy bar, you would have solo to two up in less than a min.
Just a thought, this is what I have done.

My setup. I remove the sissybar for solo, and the windshield for around town. The RallyRunner seat is comfy for myself and my bride. I weigh in about 185, she is about 100 dripping wet.
