I just got a 2008 FXDC in Vivid Black and I love it! I added the rider essentials, forward controls, engine guard , and the Sundowner comfy seat. I rode this bike 7 hours home on my first ride and it is comfortable!
If you are 6 foot tall or have a 31 inch or longer inseam you should sit on a bike with the seat of your choice and I think you may wish for the forward controls. However, everyone is different and has their own opinion.

My '08 is Red. Wanted black-but wanted it NOW. Red was available. Essentials kit, crash bars (what we use to call engine guards), ISO grips from Korea. Short as I am (5' 7" first thing in the morning)&nbsp\\;I don't need forward controls. I am going to move my bars back a little with pullback risers so I'm not "reaching".
&nbsp\\;
I am quite happy with mine.

&nbsp\\;
It's a fairly intensive process so I'll explain it for you step by step:
&nbsp\\;
Spray Shout laundry stain remover on spokes
Let sit for a couple of minutes
Rinse

Okay, I'm convinced!&nbsp\\; Thank you all for your very welcome and informative info and opinions.&nbsp\\; I've got three different dealers with that bike coming in on their last shipment and I've got them in a price war.&nbsp\\; It's a buyer's market here in&nbsp\\;the Denver area&nbsp\\;right now.&nbsp\\;The lowest out the door price, including 8.31% sales tax, is $14,100.&nbsp\\; I think I'll be able to get it for $13,900 - about $100 under basic MSRP and no additional charges.

I got mine about 2 months ago and I'm pist I waited so long to get one. it's so easy to manuver.&nbsp\\;Sometimes I wish I had the black model, but I got my anniversary eddition for the same price as a black model because they had it so long.&nbsp\\;
&nbsp\\;
Just go out and buy one, the longer you wait the less riding you've got left this summer!

2007 Pewter Pearl FXDC...
No issues at all.
&nbsp\\;
Get the Color that makes you grin from ear to ear.
&nbsp\\;
Best HD made in my opinion too.
&nbsp\\;
Cheers,
&nbsp\\;
Tom

Hey there,
I live in the Denver area too, bought my FXDC last year and just turned 15,000 miles, and I love it, tricked out with detachable bags, sheild and changed bars to extended pull back, sorta beach bar look.&nbsp\\; Best scooter I've owned.&nbsp\\; Traded up from a sporty 883.&nbsp\\; The fire pearl red is an awesome look.&nbsp\\; You won't be sorry.
