does anyone know where i can get just the black heat shields for V&amp\\;H short shot staggered?

 

you might contact v&amp\\;h and they might be able to tell you where you can get them

 

2nd that, yeah they should be able to sell them to you no problem. One thing I dont have experience with and may be of interest to you also is going black may be harder to keep from staining and scrtching. I noticed last night when I installed mine that I put a few minor scratches in them that I have no idea how I did it. Rubbed them out mostly but they are&nbsp\\;still there, I think chrome is better for cleaning and scratches. The factory warns against getting oil and grease on them while the pipes are hot as they can stain. This would not happend with chrome. Any one else have experience with staining on the black pipes?

 

Take them to your local powder coater.&nbsp\\; We coat heat shields all the time and don't have any problems with scratching and staining!&nbsp\\; It would be a whole lot cheaper than buying a new set from V&amp\\;H, that's for sure.
