black heat shields

RE: black heat shields
2nd that, yeah they should be able to sell them to you no problem. One thing I dont have experience with and may be of interest to you also is going black may be harder to keep from staining and scrtching. I noticed last night when I installed mine that I put a few minor scratches in them that I have no idea how I did it. Rubbed them out mostly but they are \\;still there, I think chrome is better for cleaning and scratches. The factory warns against getting oil and grease on them while the pipes are hot as they can stain. This would not happend with chrome. Any one else have experience with staining on the black pipes?
