Default Fuel gauge help

Anybody out there remove there tank fuel gauge and replace with a gas cap.&nbsp\\; I want to get rid of the fuel gauge and replace with a gas cap.&nbsp\\; Any ideas on how to do this?&nbsp\\; All suggestions are welcome.

It will invilve some cutting and welding. Have you looked at how the wiring runs through the gas tank and out the bottom ? There is a tunnel that carries the wiring through the tank. That would have have to be cut out&nbsp\\;and then a patch would be fabed for the hole. It would have to be welded or brazed in so it would be air tight. On top you would have to weld in a threaded bung for the cap to screw into. A lot of work but it would be cool.
