Default Customizing Street Bob fender

So I bought another Fender for my 07 street bob...
&nbsp\\;
And I was gonna have someone weild up the holes, Light and license holes.
So i can get that smooth fender look....
I already got a Side mount plate with brake light...
&nbsp\\;
So I got a couple of Price quotes (I'm in Cali in the bay area, so
expensive):
&nbsp\\;
1st place) $475
they will weild up the holes and repaint to harley's Denim black
this is an actual paint place and they do the weilding onsite also.
I think the paint came out to $275, so about $200 to weild.
&nbsp\\;
2nd place) $600
this is a harley repair shop, i think they would just send it out
and then make $100+ buks of sending it out.
&nbsp\\;
What do you guys think of these prices ?
&nbsp\\;
And Does anyone here do this work that would offer for cheaper ?
(cheaper even with shipping cost)
&nbsp\\;
Let me know, i'm hoping to do this soon..

If your not dead set on having the full fender, cut it off above the holes.&nbsp\\; The cost of a&nbsp\\;cutting wheel or&nbsp\\;2&nbsp\\;has to be cheaper than&nbsp\\;4 to&nbsp\\;6 hundred.

Ventura, if i do not actually do the 240 rear this summer i am def going to take you up on that... this way you can do that as i do my bore kit... save me some time... your bike looks so clean! quick ? for you though... can you extend my rear fender at all, i would like to add about 5 in in back to have it wrap more of the tire... not sure if you have the ability to do that...

This would be a great option I agree, and thanks for throwing it out there.
&nbsp\\;
But I am looking for that Smooth fender look to give the bike some nice flow..
