RE: damn tank lift!
I made a two inch lift by making two plates 3" long and 1" wide drilled a hole a half inch into each end. used the stock lower bolt and a 1/2" long bolt on either side of the top with a chrome crown nut on each side. I went to the auto parts store and bought a longer piece of vacume hose and for less than $2 I raised the front of my tank 2" It is mounted solid and looks like it came that way. If your going to lift it any more than 2" you will need to pick up a piece of hose and two hose clamps for the lower tank crossover.

Alright fabed up the lift looks just like the one in the catalog. I got some steel stock a piece of tubing a 2" by 1/8 strip and a piece of 3/4. I bent the 3/4 at two 45s rounded off the edges and then welded a piece of the 2" x 1/8 onto that then i cut the tubing at 3" and welded that to the 2" x 1/8 piece of metal. Just primed it all up and put one coat of black paint on it, tomorrow I will put a second coat then clear coat and put it all together. I put it together to see what it looked like and I am very happy with it.
