Well that just drives me nuts I tried ordering the lift online and it said out of stock, so I called and they said that they didnt know when it would be in or if it would at all. Its all good though I actually like the 2nd one I made better although you will get an 1" more of lift.
Well hopefully they weren't wrong on mine and it does indeed show up. I'll have to see how I like it. It's hard to tell from the pics how "clean" the bracket looks up close once installed. I figure if the frame, tank, and bracket are all black you should hardly notice. I was even thinking of painting the bolts black so nothing stands out. Who knows, if it's too tall I may be going your route!! It should give my Bob a bit more of the look I am going for though.
Well the pipes in the aviator pic have since been changed from SEII to V&H Longshots, the SEIIs actually did scrape some when leaning hard into the turn.
You can make it so easily bro the hardest part is getting it painted, If you dont feel you can do it let me know ill make a set for ya minus the painting you can do that.
Wow, I'm diggin on the tank lift thingy. You guys that got em notice any reduction in useable tank capacity due to the angle? And does it look half way decent from the front with the tank tunnel sitting up high? Just curious before milling one of these things out and burning up time.
No with the tank angeling up it wont affect it and it looks great from the front you cant see the tunnel from the tank at all due to the tripple tree at top blocking it.
Hi !!!
I have been following this thread because I was going to make a tank lift for my 2000 Dyna FXD.
The question is 2" or 3" lift (I put a wide glide frt. end )
JP cycle says 3" for FXD---2" for wide glide
thanks MONT
