I did it hddave. Was easy but I would suggest a manual for the proper procedures.

I wonder what are the chances that the new one is just manufactured within tolerances and that there is really no guarantee that another new one will have the same profile? Would really suck if you bought a new one and it did matched the original perfectly.

Airborne, order from your Dealer or Indy and when it comes in take your old one with you. They can be sat on the counter side by side and you can tell right away if there is a difference.

Thanks for the info EXPY. What would you consider too much vibration? My bike is only smooth at the following speeds-gears.

2nd-30mph
3rd-40mph
4th-50mph
5th-60mph

Its really hard to put into words. I never had anything to compare to but on decel my inner ear would tickle (yes I said tickle). Lets just say now I have no vibrations in the pegs. I mean they pulse with the engine but thats it. I now have dead pegs. I do suspect my rear mount is a defected POS also but I may have the dealer pull that one.

Thanks for the information...I have an 05 FXDI and have had the same problems with vibration. I tried the shim and it helped but still not as good as I would like. Just looked at mine and the rubber does contact top of mount....need to pull this weekend to check ....Question did you have to shim the new mount?
