Default Mid Controls with Forward Pegs

Has anyone kept their mid controls and added just the forward pegs (not the full-on forward controls)? I am starting to get hip cramps on longer rides and it would be nice to strecth the legs out on longer rides. Harley has some nice adjustable forward peg bars for $100 (minus the foot peg). Should I not waste my money and just do the $600 add on(includes labor) or keep both of them? What are some of your thoughts out there good or bad?

I am 5'11" with an inseam of 30" and the bike is an 08 SB for reference.

My Super Glide has mids and forward riding pegs. Thought I would change it over but I prefer the mids now.

Yes, I've never had forwards and don't want them.&nbsp\\; That's how I always set up my bike.

Best of both worlds IMO. Better control with the mids and can stretch out the ole legs when needed (which is most of the time) on the pegs.

When its cold I never ride on the forward pegs. The air goes right up the pant legs. I have 32" inseam. The pegs are a nice option. Best of both. Usually get through the gears before I move the feet up.

I finally found a disadvantage to mid controls and forward pegs.
I rode over a stream crossing at slow speed with my feet on the mids.
I got wet feet. If I had forwards or had the tootsies up on the pegs, I would have been sitting pretty, and my gf would have got drenched.

Mid controls with Highway pegs here.&nbsp\\;
Works perfectly for me.
&nbsp\\;
I have always used mid controls and prefer them.&nbsp\\; When I need to stretch out, I just nail the highway pegs.&nbsp\\;
&nbsp\\;
Cheers,
&nbsp\\;
Tom
