They are made of cast aluminum so powder coating isn't a problem... and they look GREAT when done! \\;

Powder coat cures at 365-400 degrees (depending on the powder used) and those temps aren't high enough to warp or damage any metal except pewter and lead. \\; It doesn't actually make lead run but it softens it up so it moves... but no worries for what you're doing.

Pull the pins out of the connector, real easy using a pointed object. Then on the turn signal it's self you need to get something curved to pull out the insides. I will take some pics of how to pull the housing apart in a few mins for you.

Turnsignal with lens removed exposing the socket

Insert the hook here:

And pull out the socket:
 \\;
If the rubber boot does not come out just reach in and pull it out. When reinstalling put the rubber boot on the socket and then slide the socket in.
