im gettin ready to do a lot of powder coating and wasnt sure if i can powder coat the turn signal housings? im not sure what they are made of, so im hoping someone here knows? thanks for all the help!

Not if they're plastic. 600 degree oven. Melts lead, etc

They are made of cast aluminum so powder coating isn't a problem... and they look GREAT when done!&nbsp\\;
&nbsp\\;
Powder coat cures at 365-400 degrees (depending on the powder used) and those temps aren't high enough to warp or damage any metal except pewter and lead.&nbsp\\; It doesn't actually make lead run but it softens it up so it moves... but no worries for what you're doing.

how do i get the wiring and all the internal stuff out of the housing? i dont want to break anything!!

Pull the pins out of the connector, real easy using a pointed object. Then on the turn signal it's self you need to get something curved to pull out the insides. I will take some pics of how to pull the housing apart in a few mins for you.

Turnsignal with lens removed exposing the socket

Insert the hook here:

&nbsp\\;
And pull out the socket:

&nbsp\\;
If the rubber boot does not come out just reach in and pull it out. When reinstalling put the rubber boot on the socket and then slide the socket in.
