Never know how they put things together until you try or ask.&nbsp\\; The damn 5.5 inch bullet headlight was giving my problems. I did not know how to take off the outter ring. I thought the set screw was the only thing holding it in. I tried to pry it out, but all I did was put some scratches in it. That big stupid ring screws off!!!

THANKS!! now what about the wiring? where does it disconnect to remove it from the housing?

The wires do not disconect from the socket. You need to push the grommet that the wire sruns through into the housing and then pull the wires through. When reinserting the grommet do not pull on the wires. The cover for the wires will pull out of the grommet and it is a pain to get the cover back in. Just add some lub and push on the grommet from the inside.

Also when you powdercoat the housing do not powdercoad the insides. It would make it too tight to get the sockets back in and the lens cover back on. Just powder coat the outsides.

you can powder coat any kind of metal, (u can&nbsp\\;even powder coat your *****!! makes it harder &amp\\; scratch resistant )
