Default Just ordered the Bassani 2 in 1 Road Rage!

Hey guys,

I just ordered the Bassani 2 into 1 Road Rage pipes for my 06 streetbob! I'm very excited. Paid $638 for them from my local motorcycle shop. Pretty expensive pipe, so I hope they are well worth it!

Anyway, I'll keep you guys posted. They should be here within 4-5 days.

Now I just have to find a good, reliable dyno tuner.

Cheers,
Adrian

Oh come on now. We all know black is way faster! lol just kidding, but I ordered the black. I didn't want to have spend more money for heat shields on the chrome ones. Plus, I like the looks of the black.

How are yours holding up. Have they discolored at all? How's the quality on them as well? A guy on here PM'ed me and told me to be very careful in installing them as the paint scratches really easy. Is this true?

You asked for this: They are a pain in the AZZ to install because they are tight. At least a two person job. If you spill ANYTHING on them while they are cool be sure you get it off before you ride, other wise it's there forever or black paint whichever comes first. I have a smudge from bug guts(not very noticeable). The only other issue is heat-They do get hot at stoplights and traggic jams. You will come up with new ways to get by jams or you will turn it off till you move again. Make sure your bike is not runnung lean to begin with. I don't think (my opinion) it is good to wrap pipes because it shortens their life span. All in all I still love the pipes and would buy them again, but they take some getting used to. GREAT SOUND and PERFORMANCE ! None better in my opinion.

Well, I think I can deal with that. I'm very **** with my pipes anyway, so I'm sure they'll be alright (I HOPE!!). But I'm glad to hear you like them. I bet I'll love them as well. Nobody around here has any, so I'll be the first on the block with them! And I'm not a big fan of wrapped pipes either.

Cheers,
Adrian

BTW I've had them on for 6mo and no discoloration yet. Yes they scratch easily which makes the install harder. They are even faster than normal black pipes because they have that chrome afterburner tip. Just wait and see.

Haha, good! Faster = better!

I guess I'll have to be very careful on installation then. That will be tough.
