Dynaflyer those are some sweet looking pipes. How loud are they?
Almost as loud as a drag pipe but way deeper. I guess they are a 8, with 10 being the loudest.
My ears do ring at the end of the day after a longer ride, but I Dig em big time!!!
I tried them with the baffles and just too quiet.
I am running no baffles with torque cones and I modified (cut) the end of the baffle 5/8'worth,with the bar in itfor some added back pressure, and installed those as well.
I really like em. It was a choice between the Samsons, or Pythons. Bassani was an option but the were big $$$ with heat shields.
Most Happy!

I have V&H BSS with the quiet baffles. Stock air cleaner and no remap. Bike runs great. Plugs check out perfect and my gas mileage is high 40's on the highway.

SAMSON BLACK RIP SAWS ...NO BAFFLES. SOUND INSANE. NO SIGNIFICANT CHANGE IN PERFORMANCE. KEEP AN EYE ON THE PLUGS.
&nbsp\\;
Have you had your bike dynoed or tuned to check on the performance.&nbsp\\; Its very difficult to read plugs these days with all the additives to fuels.&nbsp\\; The best way now is to check the AFR or air fuel ratio to see if you're lean or rich.

Has anyone run their bike without baffles for a significant amount of time and experienced any problems or does it run smooth?

I had about 30,000 miles on my Dads 73 super glide without baffles wifhout any problems that I know of. Of course I installed bigger jets in the carb. When I mentioned it on here in reguard to my 06 street bob I was told by several people that I could damage the motor and that it could not be tuned enough to keep it from being lean. I don't know if this is because of the fuel injection or if it could have been a problem all along and I am just lucky that nothing ever happined to the super glide.

I have the rush 2' slipons.&nbsp\\; I've toyed with the thought of pulling the baffles out.&nbsp\\; I noticed that there is just 1 screw to remove them.&nbsp\\; Has anyone done this?&nbsp\\; If so another stupid question, can they be put back in?

As long as you do not change the air flow into the motor (SE air cleaner) and keep your stock header pipes you do not have to re-map or race tune your bike.

I run a baffle in my rinehart 2 into 1! The performance is not near as good without the baffle.

I hear one end of the rainbow to the other ,mainly on performance though. Just ride what makes you happy. When u walk out of your house tomorrow and get obliterated by a bus you'll only be thinking about if you had fun on it or not, not whether or not you had baffles or torque cones or backpressure.
