It may be a short while but I'll see if I can post a sound clip.
That would only be the right thing to do

How the heck did you get the baffles out???
I don't even see baffles in mine...Must have been hell trying to pull anything out of those pipes with the bends at the end..
A picture of how the baffles look once you got them out would be nice to.....

Rear pipe is IN heat shield and Front is removed for Pic.
I am running torque cones and cut the very end off of the baffle 5/8" wide,to create a Performance ring with the bar for a little added back pressure. I do notice the difference without and with the Perf. ring.
I did a little experimenting.
1.With Just the Torque cones, OK, But lacked The torque.
2. Removed the Cones and installed the Baffles only. Too quiet and No deep throaty Snarle between gears and more neutered sound over all ranges.
3. Removed the Baffles, Cut out performance ring from baffle (Homemade) and reinstalled the Torque cones and Perf ringfor a well ballanced Perf and sound.
Used the Screamin Eagle exhaust gaskets, seem to fit better with the blunt end of the Cones.
TOP IS REAR PIPE IN HEAT SHIELD AND BELOW IS FRONT PIPE REMOVED FROM HEAT SHIELD
This is where the straight end of the pipe inserts into the heat shield.
