Hi All,

I just picked up a wide glide the other day (2000 with 2300 miles on it). It has V&H Big shot pipes but I don't see any baffles inside. I need them to pass Maryland state inspection.I have never owned a bike with a V&H exhaust. Could someone post a pic here or describewhat the baffles look like inside the pipe?

All I see inside when I shine a light down the pipe are some corrugatedridges lining the pipe. I can’t believe these qualify as baffles but maybe I am wrong. I thought baffles looked like a plug in the pipe with some vents for the exhaust to pass through.

I am fairly sure I need to pickup some baffles for the pipes but thought I’d ask for some opinions here first.

The bike runs excellent; I’ve already put 100 miles on her.

 

sounds like the stock baffles are in there -
the "quiet baffles" do look different - but they don't sound much different.
you can pick them up on ebay for less than $60

 

Yep... that's the baffles!

And they work too... I'm told that the pipes are 6dB louder without them.
