Relocated Rear Sigs -w- Touring Bar
I have always hated the rear sig relocation (layback plate) kit required to run bags on my SB.
So... I purchased a Touring Bullet Rear Turn Signal Bar (#68615-04 Fits '99-later Touring models (except FLHX) and '99-later FLST and FLSTC models). The dealer was fast to point out that it would not fit on my SB. I told him I owned a drill and rode off with my purchase.
After a little reworking with a dremel, I was able to reshape it to match my 06 SB fender.
I only drilled two holes to mount it. The break light mount is chromed plastic, so rather then drill yet another hole in the fender I dremeled two groves in the back of the break light mount to run the wires up.
I was very leery about drilling the mounting holes. But once it was done, I was very happy that I did. IMO it cleaned up the rear a hell of a lot.
The plate mount was made by forum member HOGRIDA_06 topped off with a cheap black plate frame that easily bent to match curve of the plate mount.

That's a great idea. A couple of questions, though: What did you use to cover the original hole in the fender strut? And could you have used 3m double stick tape like the stuff used on tank emblems to hold the new signal bar on the fender?
Thanks,
Ron

That is a sharp look.
One of my bros bought a street glide a couple of months ago and every time I ride behind him I keep seeing his turn signals on my bike. His is the FLHX so the light from the taillight shines down but I see the one you installed is for the other FLs.
Price and part # please[:@] j/k about the redfaced smilie
