had the thunderheaders on a couple weeks and the blueing is coming thru the powdercoat, think i'm just gonna wrap them, got it back yesterday with the new bars and rode about 150 mi today, got to get used to them but no neck pain..

After watching a friend at myrtle beach smoke the hell outta a 'custom'with hisfat boy that had a set ofthunderheaders and a simple re-jet I've really been wantinga set. Other than the blueing coming through the powdercoat,what do you think about the performance gain? Is theprice/hp gain worth it?

 

i went with them mainly for the sound after i heard my bro-in-laws road glide, but, the torque difference with the fuelpak is unbelieveable, way quicker.

supra6909, did you use the factory risers? how much did it cost you to change to apes...ive been contemplating it....it looks great...peace...

 

cajun--i found a set of 08 fatboy risers that were powdered on ebay for 50.00, la chopper 11.5" bars on ebay, and a sh** load of wrong cables from dennis kirk, then had the local harley shop order some goodrich cables.. total about 450.00
